Book Reviews
Master Your Message Like a Boss Babe is the fast track to creating an authentic, stand-out brand and business. It’s not your normal boring how-to build a business in a box kinda book. This is the roadmap that I WISH I had when I first started and it will transform how you think about your message and therefore how you’ll be able to stand out as yourself and get paid like a boss.
Gizelle’s wisdom, humour, and success combined with her punchy take-aways and straight-up GOLD in messaging know-how make for the most enjoyable read. I devoured the book once I picked it up and I was sad when it ended.
This book is perfect for ambitious women who need to get unstuck and stop procrastinating.
Your stories hold the key to your success, and Gizelle teaches you how to use them to stand out in a noisy world. Her unique approach to personal branding shows you how to rewire limiting beliefs, upgrade your people skills, and communicate captivating stories with confidence.
I loved how the book flowed. It had me giggling, having some “aha moments”. I have a lot of screenshots to refer back to so that I can implement the tips and soak up the wisdom when I need a pick-me-up or some motivation. You did an incredible job of breaking down an overwhelming topic into something that makes sense and fun to read.
This is a really great book! It reads as if you are speaking to me which I love. Your personal experiences and the advice you give about getting past roadblocks and owning your awesome are important reminders for people like me who sometimes get in their heads.
Gizelle hits the nail on the head from her introduction. How do you differentiate and add value in a world of fakeness and sameness? She’s got me searching for my gems of genius with direction on getting my mind right.
This is the kind of book you’re going to want to read slowly and take your time with. I’m even going to recommend that readers have a pen, pencil, sticky notes, a journal, and a long weekend in the hills or by the beach to really dive into the insights you’re going to get out of this book.
Workshop Testimonials
I had started researching personal branding and was thoroughly confused by all the information out there. Gizelle takes the information and delivers it in a way that is not only different from your usual personal branding guide but in a way that also makes sense.
After you have all the knowledge, she provides you with specific steps and exercises to develop your brand and those were the game-changer.
The moment I stepped into the room, I knew the lady in the black outfit and neon pink jacket was who I was there to listen to. She stopped suddenly in her presentation, smiled and asked me to share my name. The way her energy travelled across the room was invigorating. I felt like telling her my entire life story. But in humility and self-control I said, ‘My name is Sandra Knight’. It was uphill from there.
Gizelle Riley did a great job of creating an environment where a group of sisters felt at home enough to share, be inspired enough to move forward, and ‘souled’ enough to be themselves.
I’ve seen many persons conducting workshops purporting success, which is not a bad thing. But, being in business myself, I know the journey to success is raw and imperfect; even on stretches when things are going great in an entrepreneurs’ business, there may be challenging periods that entrepreneurs have to shake off, go back to the drawing board and get on track.
Gizelle’s Brand Storytelling for Boss Babes workshop highlighted just that – it was honest, raw and practical in helping entrepreneurs and those desirous of getting into business.
I highly recommend for anyone who wants to build a brand that is unique and tell a story that connects. I was amazed at the valuable information Gizelle delivered.
My goal when I started was to achieve clarity on the path I wanted to take to build authority online. The exercises in the program are really effective. She teaches you how to map out your transformational goal and focus on it instead of being all over the place doing everything.
Anyone can benefit, whether they have a small or big established brand. Gizelle has some really helpful insights for anyone that has been trying to run a business, especially for women that have struggled to find their way with their passion.
I have been struggling with the impostor syndrome and comparing myself to others. She has given me the clarity and motivation to overcome these fears that have stopped me from putting my art out.
Gizelle delivered valuable content, broken down into easy-to-understand concepts with relatable examples. What made this workshop stand out for me was the intimate setting that not only allowed fellow boss babes to learn from Gizelle, but also teach each other from their own experiences. I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone seeking to better connect with their audience.
Gizelle’s Brand Storytelling for Boss Babes workshop was extremely helpful towards identifying key elements for building the brand pitch for our business. We addressed how to present brand values, removing clarity roadblocks and the ‘why’ factor of it all so that the purpose of the brand is highlighted and comes through clearly.
There was real value in the tips and techniques Gizelleshared, especially the ones for social media branding, and it has helped to grab the attention of our target market! She created a great space and atmosphere for business owners to collaborate and network with each other. It was an excellent experience sharing and making connections.
I did not know what to expect when I decided to do Gizelle’s programme. I just knew that I wanted a change and develop my personal brand and decided to try. How would it hurt right? I found that it isn’t your typical programme that is filled with exercises about whatever business or brand you want to develop but it is a programme that peels away your layers and helps you to find out who you are at the core.
It takes you through a soul-searching period and then moves you forward to the present. It is not for the faint of heart and you have to be ready to be honest with yourself. You definitely don’t have to know how you want to get where you are going. You don’t even have to be clear on the final destination the course helps you to do all that once you have decided to do the work. It builds you from the soul outward.
I really am glad I decided to try this. It opened up my eyes not only from a business or brand standpoint but on a personal level. If you feel stuck or want a change, this is a Gizelle’s programme for you. I give it both thumbs up.
Empowering and inspirational. Gizelle simplified the topic of storytelling for your brand using examples that were practical and identifiable. The intimate setting allowed for each person to share their experiences and ask meaningful questions. I would recommend Gizelle as a consultant to other women who are seeking to take their business to the next level.
