Yhordanka Akwanza is a Caribbean style goddess, mother, social media influencer, as well as the co-founder and COO of Eyeland Eyewear — a leading eyecare company based in Jamaica with locations islandwide. Born in Cuba where she trained as a professional dancer, she migrated to Jamaica in 2003 after marrying her husband and now business partner Ketao Akwanza.
She is the mother of three boys and is a do it yourselfer, who enjoys housework and taking care of her family. Yhordanka has a passion for style and sharing creative poses on Instagram. She also uses this platform to bring awareness to new upcoming entrepreneurs and their businesses as well as social and environmental issues.
Her style has been published in international magazines, InStyle magazine and National News Papers. Yhordanka is currently working with her husband on creating more sustainable living solutions for Jamaicans through renewable energy and farming.
